1) Scope of these terms

These Terms of Service govern your use of the Route 66 sample itinerary planning content provided on Skulkershade (the “Site”). If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

2) Itineraries are examples

Any itineraries, route suggestions, schedules, driving times, and recommendations shown on the Site are for general informational purposes and may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate.

• You are responsible for verifying details (hours, closures, permits, road conditions, safety advisories, and current pricing).
• Travel conditions can change quickly; always check official sources before and during your trip.

3) Your responsibility for safety

You are solely responsible for how you plan and carry out your travel. You should use common sense, follow traffic laws and safety guidance, and ensure your vehicle and personal safety plans are appropriate for your circumstances. Nothing on the Site is intended to provide professional travel, medical, legal, or safety advice.

4) Partnerships, reviews, and endorsements (if shown)

If the Site includes reviews, testimonials, endorsements, or paid/sponsored relationships, we will clearly and conspicuously disclose any material connection so that advertising is not deceptive. For reference: 16 CFR Part 255, 16 CFR § 255.5.

5) No misleading claims

We aim not to mislead visitors about itinerary planning, partnerships/affiliations, pricing/fees (if any), or other key information. For reference: 15 U.S.C. § 45(a)(1).

6) Content limitations and “as is”

The Site and all content are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

7) Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Skulkershade (and its affiliates, partners, and licensors) will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of your use (or inability to use) the Site. This includes damages related to travel delays, route changes, safety events, or reliance on itinerary suggestions.

8) Privacy and California notices (if applicable)

If we collect personally identifiable information from California residents, we will provide a conspicuous privacy policy. For reference: California Business and Professions Code § 22575 and California Business and Professions Code § 22577.

If the Site is subject to the CCPA/CPRA and we collect “personal information” from California residents, we will provide required disclosures (including notice at collection via the privacy policy) and privacy rights mechanisms as required. For reference: California Civil Code § 1798.100 and California Civil Code § 1798.99.82.

9) Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page indicates when changes were made. Continued use of the Site after changes become effective means you accept the updated terms.
